The GXtronic T8 LED Tube 24W Glass 150cm is a direct replacement for a 58W T8 fluorescent tube. It comes in a pack of 10, so you can switch every light point in an office, car park or warehouse in one go.

24W glass T8 LED tube: light output and consumption

Each tube delivers 2640 lumens from 24W, an efficacy of 110 lm/W. It uses half the power of the 58W fluorescent it replaces, or less. SMD2835 chips with CRI 80 spread the light over 300°, so the ceiling is evenly lit with no dark patches.

The body is glass with polycarbonate end caps. Glass does not yellow over time and lets more light through than many plastic tubes.

Where to use 150 cm T8 LED tubes

They suit offices, shops, classrooms, corridors, storage rooms, car parks and warehouses. They fit any batten or fitting with a G13 lampholder designed for 1500 mm T8 tubes. In damp or dusty areas, install them inside a waterproof fitting, as the tube itself is rated IP20.

How to install the T8 LED tube

Switch off the power, remove the fluorescent tube and take out the starter. Put the bridge supplied with the tube in its place and fit the LED tube, which is powered from one end only. If the fitting has an electronic ballast, an electrician must bypass it first.

Once installed it needs no maintenance beyond an occasional clean.
